Elementary Milk Break
Elementary Milk (Grades K-5) $35.00 (Due by Sept. 21)
½ Day Kindergarten Milk* $9.00 (Due by Sept. 21)
*(This includes LG Jt.#1 4K and Brookwood School ½ Day Kindergarten)
If your child qualifies for free or reduced meals,
They do not have to pay for milk.
**Milk money should be sent separate from lunch money.
We will not deduct milk money from lunch accounts.
All students will have an account in our system for purchasing lunches. Each student must have money in their account BEFORE PURCHASING LUNCH. We will try to notify students in the line when they are getting low on money; however, it is the parent’s responsibility to ensure that their child has adequate funds available for purchasing lunch.
Letters will be generated once a week any time your child has less than $5.00 in his/her lunch account. If you would like to know your child’s balance, please check on PowerSchool, or call and we would be happy to help you. We offer many different a la carte choices at the middle school and high school, so there is a possibility your child will be spending more
than the cost of a regular lunch if they are purchasing “extras”. If your child attends Lake Geneva Jt. #1 Schools, please make check payable to L.G. Jt. # Schools Foodservice. If they attend Badger High School or Brookwood School, please make check payable to Badger Food Service. Please issue the check for the exact amount you would like credited to
their foodservice account. WE WILL NOT GIVE CASH BACK TO THE STUDENT. Students must have an ID card to purchase lunches. The first card will be issued at no cost. However, we will charge for replacement cards.
Free and Reduced Applications will be sent home and they will be available in each school office and the District Administration Office. If you believe you qualify, please send the form back to school immediately so your child can start receiving benefits of this program as soon as possible. They must pay for lunches until the application has been approved. If your child was approved for Free or Reduced last year, this information does not carry over to this school year. YOU WILL NEED TO FILL OUT A NEW FORM. For students who did not have a negative balance at the end of last school year, there will be a two week grace period and then students will revert to full pay if new forms have not been submitted. Students who owed money will begin the year at full pay status and must pay for meals until approved this year. Please fill out one form per family, listing each student and the school they attend. If you need help filling this form out, please call 262-348-2000 x 2208. If your child is approved for Free or Reduced Lunch, this will only qualify them to have the regular lunch. Students will be charged for a la carte items, additional lunches and extra milk with meals.
If your child had a negative balance in their account lastyear, this amount carried forward and needs to be paid immediately. Please send a check to Lake Geneva Schools Administration Office, 208 South St., Lake Geneva, WI 53147 (attention: Donna Ecklund).
If your child has a medically documented food allergy, pleasecontact us and also notify your child’s teacher.
Please call us at any time at 348-3000 x 3116 or 328-2000 x 2208 ifyou have questions or concerns.
